HypnoBirthing® classes in Singapore
The Gold Standard of Childbirth Education.
Discover a calmer, more confident path to birth, whatever your birth plan, wherever you choose to deliver in Singapore. As a certified HypnoBirthing® Gold Seal Educator, I guide you and your partner through five private sessions designed to replace fear with trust.

More than a technique: a philosophy of birth.
HypnoBirthing® is a birth-preparation method rooted in a simple belief: when a mother is properly prepared, physically, mentally, and emotionally, she can experience birth as a calm, empowered, and even joyful event.
The approach blends self-hypnosis (a naturally induced state of relaxed focus), deep breathing, visualization, and evidence-based childbirth education. It doesn't promise a painless birth, but it teaches your body to release the fear-tension-pain cycle that amplifies discomfort, letting your body's own natural anaesthetics (endorphins) work for you.
Fear creates tension. Tension creates pain. Prepare the mind, and the body follows.
35 years of trust, worldwide.
HypnoBirthing® (The Mongan Method) is taught in 46 countries by over 2,000 certified educators. It is recognised globally as The Gold Standard of Childbirth Education, integrated into antenatal programs in many hospitals around the world.

Personally certified by HypnoBirthing® International to deliver the full, original Mongan Method.

The benefits reported by HypnoBirthing® families.
Studies and decades of practice show that HypnoBirthing® families often experience:
- Fewer medical interventions and surgical births
- Shorter first and second phases of labor
- Reduced or eliminated need for pharmacological pain relief
- Lower incidence of pre-eclampsia
- Fewer pre-term and low-birth-weight babies
- Babies born calm and alert, often able to nurse within the first hour
- Higher Apgar scores on average
- Happier, more confident mothers, with partners who feel useful
These outcomes are not guarantees. Birth remains unpredictable. The preparation gives you the inner resources to meet whatever unfolds.

Frequently asked questions.
If your question isn't here, send me a message on WhatsApp. I'm happy to answer personally.
Is HypnoBirthing® only for "natural", medication-free births?↓
Not at all. The method works for every type of birth, including epidural, induction, and planned or unplanned cesarean. The calm, informed mindset you'll cultivate is an asset in any scenario.
When should we start the course?↓
Most couples begin between 25 and 32 weeks of pregnancy. Starting earlier leaves more time for home practice, which is where the real magic happens. If you are later in your pregnancy, I can often accommodate a compressed schedule.
Does my partner need to attend every session?↓
Partner presence is strongly encouraged. HypnoBirthing® is as much about them as it is about you. I adapt each session's schedule and dates to match your and your partner's availability and preferences, so you can both fully commit to the five sessions together.
What if I end up needing a cesarean?↓
You'll be more prepared than most. HypnoBirthing® includes specific techniques for planned and unplanned cesarean birth: staying calm during preparation, bonding immediately with your baby, and easing recovery.
Is HypnoBirthing® compatible with my Singapore hospital?↓
Yes. I've supported families in all major private and public hospitals in Singapore. The method doesn't require any special permission. It's your mindset and your partner's support, which no hospital would restrict.
How is HypnoBirthing® different from Lamaze or Bradley?↓
Lamaze teaches distraction from discomfort; Bradley focuses on partner-coached natural birth. HypnoBirthing® teaches deep relaxation, self-hypnosis and fear-release, fundamentally shifting how your body experiences labor rather than simply managing pain.
Is there anything religious or spiritual about it?↓
No. HypnoBirthing® is secular and evidence-based. You are welcome to bring your own beliefs to your practice, but none are imposed or required.
Can we take this course after a traumatic first birth?↓
Absolutely. Many second-time parents find HypnoBirthing® deeply healing. We'll gently address what happened last time and give you new tools to write a different story.
Do I need any special equipment at home to practice?↓
Just a quiet corner, headphones for the audio tracks, and a comfortable spot, like a sofa, a bed, or a birth-ball. Nothing else to buy.
Does insurance cover HypnoBirthing® classes in Singapore?↓
Some international and expat health insurance plans do reimburse antenatal education, including HypnoBirthing®. Policies vary considerably, so I recommend checking with your provider in advance. I can provide a detailed receipt and practitioner credentials to support your claim.
Is this course available in French?↓
Yes. I'm fully bilingual and teach in English or French, ideal for expat families in Singapore.
